TROY, Ala. (WDHN) — A Troy man is behind bars after police claim he shot and killed his wife.
39-year-old Benjamin Joshua Hill of Troy was arrested this afternoon after his wife, 37-year-old Jennifer Paramore Hill, was found with a gunshot wound inside their residence on County Road 2221.
Jennifer Hill was immediately transported by ambulance to a hospital in Montgomery, where she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.
Joshua Hill was present at the scene and was taken into custody for questioning. Following the investigation, Hill has been charged with murder.
Hill was processed at the Troy City Jail and later transported to Pike County Jail, where he is being held without bond pending an Aniyah’s Law hearing.
Troy Police Department is being assisted in this investigation by the District Attorney’s Office and the Pike County Coroner’s Office.
