Kishan Bagaria completed his primary education in Assam, attending Don Bosco School and Agrasen Academy in Dibrugarh. Rather than following the traditional path of college education, he chose to enhance his skills and knowledge through online resources. From the age of 12, Kishan displayed a strong interest in tech innovation. He didn’t attend prestigious universities or enroll in professional courses in technology. Instead, he relied on self-teaching, using the internet to master the basics and pave his way toward becoming a successful entrepreneur.
Founding of texts.com
Bagaria identified a problem with the overwhelming number of messaging apps. He envisioned Texts.com as a personal solution, aggregating all his messaging needs into one convenient platform. He then founded Texts.com, an AI-powered platform that integrates messaging apps like WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, and Telegram into one dashboard. This platform ensures user privacy by preventing others from knowing if messages have been viewed. Launched in 2020, the platform quickly gained popularity through word of mouth, catching the eye of Matt Mullenweg, the owner of WordPress and Tumblr, who acquired it for USD 50 million (approximately Rs 400 crore). After three months of negotiations, Matt Mullenweg, personally met Kishan in 2023, and by October, the deal to acquire texts.com was finalized.
Mullenweg described Kishan as a “generational tech genius.” Backed by founders of Vercel, Superhuman, and others linked to major tech companies, Kishan’s innovation has made waves in the industry.
What Makes Texts.com Different?
Unlike traditional messaging platforms, Texts.com serves as a central hub connecting various services like WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, and more. It prioritizes user experience and privacy with features such as:
End-to-End Encryption: Ensuring secure chats, with messages never passing through Texts.com servers. Encryption is handled directly within the connected platforms.
Convenience Features: Users can schedule messages for optimal delivery times, mark messages as unread for later follow-up, and receive concise summaries of missed group chats.
These features distinguish Texts.com as a user-friendly, privacy-focused platform.
Kishan Bagaria currently resides in the USA, where he continues to develop and expand Texts.com. Even after its acquisition, he remains actively involved in the project, serving as the head of messaging.
