IN June, one of the world’s most popular streamers, Herschel ‘Dr Disrespect’ Beahm, admitted that he was banned from Twitch for sharing ‘inappropriate’ messages with a minor.
A number of companies began distancing themselves from Beahm including Midnight Society, a studio that he co-founded.

Studio head Robert Bowling tweeted: “If you inappropriately message a minor. I can not work with you.”
While many companies distanced themselves before Dr Disrespect’s statement confirming the messages, many more did so once Beahm admitted to the DMs.
He wrote: “Were there Twitch Whisper messages [Twitch’s version of DMs] with an individual minor back in 2017? The answer is yes.”
One of these is publisher Hi-Rez Studios, which collaborated with Beahm in its third-person shooter Rogue Company.
Rogue Company is a live-service shooter that offered a Dr Disrespect skin and map in a collaboration with the streamer.
The game’s official Twitter account revealed that content featuring Dr Disrespect has been removed from the game.
Players who previously purchased these items will be refunded with the in-game currency Rogue Bucks.
The tweet reads: “Hey Rogue Company, we have disabled Dr. Disrespect content previously available on game.
“We will provide full Rogue Buck refunds to any impacted account this week.”
Players were disappointed that they will not be getting their real money back, but the in-game currency is better than no compensation.
