Downtown Dothan restaurant robbed; owner forced inside, police say

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) – A store owner in Downtown Dothan was forced into his business on Saturday morning and robbed, according to police.

Police say the store manager of a business in the 400 block of North Oates Street in Dothan. was opening up a business for the day when a suspect walked up behind him and forced him inside the store. Once inside the store, police say he took money from the cash register and ran away.

Sources say the business allegedly robbed on Saturday morning was American Deli.

The suspect was last seen in black clothing wearing a mask running through the parking lot of the Dothan-Houston County Library System downtown on North Oates Street.
