HEADLAND, Ala. (WDHN) — The Headland Rams dropped its region opener a week ago against Andalusia. Now the Rams welcome the Eufaula Tigers into J.J. Yarbough stadium in a battle of 2023 playoff teams. Tigers roll the Rams, 34-6.

WICKSBURG, Ala. (WDHN) — The Wicksburg Panthers entered Friday’s game against Montgomery Academy on a two-game win streak. As the Panthers tried to push that win total to three, they faced a team that just took down Houston Academy 12-10 and sits at 3-0. Wicksburg wins 27-22.

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — After opening 2024 with two wins, Houston Academy fell last week to Montgomery Academy in a low-scoring contest, 12-10. Now the page turns to Slocomb, who beat New Brockton a week ago to improve to 1-0 in 3A region two. Raiders win 49-0.

DALEVILLE, Ala. (WDHN) — Both New Brockton and Daleville entered Friday’s game without a win. One would pick up that first victory, but also move up in the region standings. Gamecocks get their first win 53-21.

ASHFORD, Ala. (WDHN) — The Geneva Panthers traveled to Ashford Friday night looking to pick up its first win of the season. Ashford beat Dale County in a slugfest a week ago to start region play at 1-0. Yellow Jackets sting the Panthers 44-7.

COTTONWOOD, Ala. (WDHN) — Houston County and Cottonwood met at Hicks Stadium Friday night in an intra-county contest. Houston County dropped its game in week two against Ariton, while Cottonwood shined against Providence Christian to open the season at 3-0. Bears win 47-7.

ABBEVILLE, Ala. (WDHN) — The Abbeville Yellow Jackets have started slow in 2024, dropping their first three games. While Ariton entered Friday’s game against Abbeville at 1-1. Purple Cats win 38-22.
